Curriculum for Nurses: Continuing Education Program on SIDS Risk Reduction

The National Institute of Child Health and Development (USA) and its partners in the Back to Sleep campaign worked with national nursing organisations to design this continuing education program about reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The module includes information about SIDS, SIDS risk, risk-reduction strategies, challenges to risk reduction, communicating about risk reduction, and the unique role nurses can play in helping families reduce the risk of SIDS. The Foundation of the Study of Infant Deaths

The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) is a UK charity that works to prevent SUDI and promote health. It funds research, supports bereaved families and promotes safe baby care advice.
Māori SIDS

Māori SIDS was established in March 1994 to decrease SIDS mortality rates in the Māori community.
The organisation delivers national and regional services that focus on co-ordination and provision of evidence based research with the purpose of assisting whānau, health professionals and communities to reduce the incidence of SIDS/SUDI.

SIDS international Acts as an international voice and facilitates the international sharing of information on SIDS and SUDI related issues pertaining to statistical information, research, counselling, support, education and service provision. In addition it arranges a two yearly international conference.

The Pacific Health Programme, in the Department of Māori and Pacific Health at the University of Auckland, developed a SUDI prevention programme for Pacific families in Auckland.
